IGN Game of the year awards

Has anyone been on IGN lately? It gives Okami game of the year over zelda! even though Okami received a 9.1 whilst zelda received 9.5! All the readers choice awards were given to Zelda and in the wii mailbag matt says that zelda deserved to win but it still ticks me off that abrilliand game like zelda lost to a mere pretty good game like Okami Cheatcc on the other hand gave zelda plenty of awards so i'm going to pay more attention to their game of the year awards from now on!

Who cares? These things are about peoples opinions, and since when does Zelda has the god given right to be Game of the Year?

The review scores are one persons view of the game. The game of year awards are a collaboration between the entire IGN team. They felt Okami was better. *shrugs*

IGN are veeeery inconsistent. While they review well, they always make some stupid decision or exagerate one itty bitty bad point 'cause things didn't go their way.

I can't wait to play it. Everything i've read about it seems to be full of praise. And it's soooo pretty.

Anyway, much as i love Zelda, we can't really get upset about this, can we?

I didn't think Okami looked that good but it obviously is if it was voted best.

I never really bother about awards, just he reviews and read a whole pile of them too. I believe that awards suck really (even though I've won quite a few!) because they're usually decided ultimately by a small contingent of people, in the case of IGN the majority of these had only played Zelda for about an hour. Stick with the reviews, want further proof The PS3 Sixaxis controller won some engineers award for outstanding innovation!!!!????

Did these people even hear of the wii??

Well if you watch the video of the Game of the Year being chosen every editor is shocked that Okami won game of the year.

This is going to appear on Wii or Konami are making a huge mistake look at the brush strokes. It looks truly beautiful aswell my kind of game.
