Does wiffy do game of the year?

It's early to be thinking about this yet but i was wondering if wiffy did "game of the year" awards. it would be a bit like the wiffy oscars. just wondering what people thought of the idea.

It's a great idea but surely the Wii game of the year will be Metroid Prime, or maybe not....

No need for it to be solely cross platform, you could easily have a catagory for each console/platform. In fact it might be better that way. Have people vote for their top 3 games on each console in a freeform manner. Each #1 vote is worth 5 points, #2 = 3 points, #3 = 1. At the end of the week tally them up then start a poll where the #1 game on each platform goes up against eachother for overall winner. Then, contact the publishers of the game and see if they'll release a Wiffy GOTY edition of the game, giving us all a free copy of it. Hurray!

Why stop there? You could have votes by genre. You could vote for best controller, best add-on component, best homebrew, best digital boobs (or for the ladeez, best cyber-package. The field is wide open this year with RE4-Leon, Link, Crossbow-Training Gorons and Master Chief all on the scene), best trailer, best cut-scene etc etc. Actually, I've changed my mind, do stop there. It's getting silly.

interesting suggestions. maybe those could be worked in (but not the bewbs or cyber package )

okay the idea seems popular enough so come late november/early decmber there will be a nominations thread. we can use this thread to nominate categories. i'll edit the first poste with some basic stuff. any suggestions can be sent on the forum or via pm but don't hold your breath waiting for me to use chat because i don't.

oh and if you do want to suggest something do it with bullet points because that makes it so much easier. you can disagree with my own choices if you want and i might change it. in case anyone doesn' know there's an bullet point thing at the top toolbar
