Wii Sports Resort

Well the Wii Sports Resort push is on and I realized that this forum doesnt have a thread for what will be (Its fairly tough to dispute) Wiis biggest game of 2009.

Today Nintendo realeased its Japanese Wii Sports commercials to the might interwebs featuring spandex Wii sports man in slow mo ( You know you love it).
It also released the details of two new events to add to frisbee Wave race and sword fighting. And they are.... Golf......and....... Table tennis. Yes golf which was in the original Wii Sports and Table trennis which was in Wii Play (Although you play as Miis now) which is a bit lazy.

I hope they include online play and another one or two original events then it will convince me to get this as opposed to Grand Slam Tennis.

I think i'll wait to see if they have online modes in this before i get excited about this..... but is this the perfect game to get get wii fit moms online?

You know I was just thinking like you if this was the perfect Wii game to get casuals online but then i thought of how off the wall psycho-nuts Nintendo are and that theyd be liable to leave out Wi-Fi because it might over complicate things (in their heads) for casual players. Theyve done crazier things.

Yeh but it might be a wise decision to include it as it might satisfy the hardcore gamers if it has online, but yeh nintendo have a nack for making odd decisions.... so who knows?

I will echo the comments about online. I'm going to get it anyway if it doesn't but it would be great if it did. Kick some Mom butt

yeah as long it has all the old games i'll get it cause my old wii sports is scratched and keeps stopping.

Well you may be the only one picking it up for that reason. Id like to see more new events and less repeats like golf and the table tennis game which is like a beefed up version of the one from Wii play

It wont have the old games I'd say. I'll pick this up depending on its bundled with Motion+ price compared to a motion+ dongle on its own. If its like only €10-€15 more I'll get it.

Doubt I'll get it unless it has online play. The sister will get it though regardless so I'll still get to play it.

As for Wii Tiger Woods, looks very promising this year so I'll be keeping my eye on it.

Not much interest in Grand Slam Tennis.
